BEIT Kay Nahariya

Beit Kay Nahariya Centre

Built in 1958 to serve 6,000 disabled veterans of the War of Independence.

Beit Kay was placed under the auspices of Israel’s Medical Corps after the Six-Day War to serve as a convalescent home
for wounded veterans.

The facility is located in beautiful surroundings in the northern resort town of Nahariya on land donated by Mrs. Vera Weizmann, wife of Israel’s first president, Dr. Chaim Weizmann.

More modest in size than the other Beit Halochem Centres, Beit Kay has been reconfigured and revitalized since the
October 7 attacks to accommodate the unprecedented number of those wounded in the ensuing way.
